Sunflowers and pumpkins blog hop

Hello, today I am sharing a decoration I made for a Birthday gift for my Pop. The DT were all given either an orange or yellow project. I chose orange. I am glad I did as I love pumpkins. I printed off the pumpkin shapes onto different shades of orange cardstock and cute them out. the leaf was traced around onto olive green cardstock. Once I had everything cut our. I pop dotted each layer together. then I added stickles to the edges of the pumpkin pieces.

For the leaf. I cut out 2 pieces. I took a pipe cleaner and twined it around my finger and then stretched it out to form the stem. I glued it between the 2 leaves, Then I glued it between the layers of the pumpkin next to the stem.

I got the straw/button embellishment at Hobby Lobby.

The sentiment is by Create with TLC. I colored it with Copics YR00, YR02, YR04, YR07. you can find it here. http://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/studio/tlc4lo

                                                      My card folded up.

Hello, Today at Robyn's Fetish our challenge is to make a card with more than one fold in it. Our  sponsor is Doodle Pantry. The image and sentiments are from  the "Hangin in There " digi set. You can find it in the Doodle Pantry store here  http://doodlepantry.com/ The winner gets 3 digital images of their choice from the Doodle Pantry Store.

   Copics used are YR23, YR21,YR24, YR31, Y23,-Caterpillar, YG61, YG67, YG93, YG95-leaves, E29, E31, E33, E37-branch.

The die cut leaves and frame are from Cricut cartridge  Paper Trimmings row 4 button 10, image and image shift, plus square and square shift. The leaves are 1.31", and the frame is 1.82 ".

The papers are by Recollections-Olive green, dark green , blue, and print. The white is by Georgia pacific.

The ribbon is by Paper Temptress.

   The card measures folded up 4" x 4 1/2". Unfolded it is 4 1/2" x 12".

Once the blue paper is cut at 4 1/2" x 12"  I then scored it at 2" , 4", 8", and 10". I then folded it up and used a corner rounder to round the corners. Then I cut 4 pieces of the print at 4 1/4" x 1 3/4" and a piece at 4 1/4" x 3 3/4". I then rounded the corners to match where they were to be placed on the card.

I took my ribbon and wrapped it around the card so I could see how big a piece I needed. I used Glue Dots to attach it to the frame.  Make sure you do this with it around the card so it will slide off and on, but not be too loose either.

Thanks for stopping by for a chat. I was glad to see you. Edwina

Halloween Spooktacular Blog Hop

Welcome to the annual Halloween Spooktacular Banner Hop for Special Needs Children!
I am delighted to join with more than 3 dozen other women who have each made at least one Halloween-themed banner that will be donated to hang in the room of a medically-fragile child at Pediatric Specialty Care in Pennsylvania.
Our Hop Hostess (Ellen CardMonkey Jarvis) works at PSC’s Bucks County site as Admissions Coordinator. The Banner Hop starts there, so please be sure to circle back to the beginning to see all of the terrific banners have been made for these very special children.

Ellen shared this information with us about Pediatric Specialty Care: “PSC is a very special place where children stay either long- or short-term, typically after hospitalization.  Most are dependent on ventilators and other technology to survive. Some have been born too early or with genetic diseases or birth injuries.  Other children suffer injuries later in life that require constant care later, including brain injuries from trauma or loss of oxygen (from choking, suffocation or drowning) and spinal cord injuries.

These children and their families -- and PSC’s staff -- will be thrilled to receive the Halloween banners, to help brighten the season when their friends and siblings will be out trick-or-treating.”
Here is the banner I am sending to a child at PSC:

                                                              First side of banner.
Close up to the left of the 1st side of banner.
                                                      Close up of middle section.
Close up of the right section of the1st side.
                                                             Second side of banner.
Close up of the right section of the second side.
Close up of the middle section.
Close up of the left section of the second side of the banner.
